Contrada provided full design and build service to this beautiful Victorian house in The Avenue, Hitchin.

The works consisted of structural works to create an open plan kitchen/ dining area with new oak and Corian fitted kitchen, oak flooring, feature walls, utility room and reconfigured bathroom and bedrooms on the 1st floor.
Careful reinstatement of period features inc fireplaces, lath and plaster ceilings, mouldings, brickwork
Also, new sash windows, shutters, feature wrought iron radiators, oak panelled doors, skirting’s, architraves and in-built cupboards installed. The house was also fully decorated throughout.
The garage was also upgraded

Part of the works was carried out which the family remained at the property and great care was taken to ensure the place was kept clean and safe.

The project duration was 15 weeks and completed a programme to everyone’s satisfaction.
